The residents in our community are being protected from COVID-19, but we are also trying to find ways to keep morale up. Our super activities directors have been so creative and have worked so hard on activities and entertainment. Mother’s Day

We hope that you had an incredible Mother’s Day this last Sunday. Even though conditions required us to stay away from our mothers we hope that you and your family found some way to make the day special. We did our best on our end to make the day memorable for those sweet women in our community that have made life better for all those around us. We are so grateful for the women who make our day brighter in our building. Our Super Staff put together fun Mother’s Day activities for our amazing residents. We look forward to when we’ll be able to welcome family and friends into our community again, but until then we hope you are staying safe and thank you for keeping us safe.

This Week’s Experiences

We’ve had a fun week so far, our activities have been enjoyable even though we are quarantined and not allowing the outside public to come inside. We were able to go on a beautiful afternoon stroll and enjoy the nice weather, we’ve had dance parties through our hallways with some of our Super Caregivers, we have singalongs in the evenings together, lots of fun crafts, and some wonderful and much needed window visits from family and friends. 

What a new experience for all of us, but we are trying to make the best of it while keeping everyone safe. Stay healthy and check out our Facebook page for our other fun activities.

Our Quarantine Experience

Throughout SAL Management communities we have some very creative residents, employees, and family members. We’ve been busy playing games, singing, dancing, parades, Easter celebrations, and lots of video chatting. Even though it has been a difficult time for all of us, we think that we’ve managed to make the best of things and still have a good time. 

 We are so grateful for those in our community and around us that have brought in donations of treats, games, flowers, supplies, and sweet notes. It has brought a smile to our faces and has been a great support to us during this time. We hope that you’ve been following us on our Facebook pages and keeping in touch with us as best you can. We’d love to hear from you and help us feel a sense of normalcy during all of this.

This is free of charge and if you are unable to make it at the scheduled time we will email you the recording to watch at your convenience. Topics will include: breathing and meditation through difficult times, how to connect while not connecting, extroverts in isolation, feelings of guilt, shame, and anger, grief and loss in isolation, resources in your area, learning something new – Chi Gong, Reiki Energy Work, oils for calming and comfort, and many other topics.
